Since its inception the Toyota Celica has gone through many design changes.1975 saw a revised front bumper and grill and also the addition of a liftback model to the lineup. In 1978 the vehicle was released with either the 4M-E engine or the M-EU engine, both were inline six configurations and both were touted as the first engines equipped with electronic fuel injection. In 1982 the third generation Celica was introduced, styling was changed considerably and power was provided by a 22-R or 22-RE engine, this was a 2.4 litre 4 cylinder engine which would be known as the biggest engine offered in a Celica ever. Then in 1985 the fourth generation Celica was released, it was changed completely.
